Description: 1/4 inch long.
Head and body are mottled with orange, gray, black and brown. Head has a conspicuous snout. There are four ridges (humps) on the wing covers.

Where/When: Apple and plum; also apricot, pears, peach, cherry, crabapple are hosts. Appear in May or June at blossom time.

Significance: Causes scarring or lumpiness on fruits. May cause premature fruit drop.
