Description: 1/32 - 1/4 inch long.

Where/When: Associated with moisture and organic debris. Found outdoors in soil, leaf litter, rotting wood. Found indoors in basements, bathrooms, and other rooms in homes, particularly during the spring and summer. They can be found in the soil of house plants throughout the year.

Significance: They do not harm people or property.
