Fruit

  • Fruit are produced on the end of a twig
  • Young fruit are light green to pinkish red 2" long lumpy or cone-like growths
  • Fruit become woody and cone-like when mature
  • Bright red, oval to tear drop shaped seeds appear from the fruiting cone
  • Trees may produce many fruit one year and few the next
