Japanese Beetle

  • Beetles feed on berries
  • Beetles skeletonize leaves, i.e. they feed between the major veins
  • Most active July and August
  • Adult beetles are large (1/2" long), with a metallic green head and 5 white tufts on the undersides of the abdomen
