Raspberry Fruitworm
Byturus unicolof

  • Larvae feed on the receptacle of the berry, causing the berry to drop from the plant
  • Adults feed on the blossom
  • Adults are ¼ inch long, reddish-brown, covered with short hairs, and are active May-June
  • Larvae are yellow-white, ¼ inch long when full size, and are present in mid May-June
  • Red and purple raspberries are more susceptible
