2,336 University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener volunteers gave 142,194 hours of service to their communities in 2016. That is an average of 60.9 hours per volunteer and a public value worth more than $3.6 million. These enthusiastic and University-trained volunteers help Minnesotans solve yard and garden problems and make their communities more sustainable, beautiful, knowledgeable and fun!
