Description: 1/4 inch long.
Oval shaped. Orange with two white converging stripes on the back of its head (pronotum). Usually have 13 black spots on the back (the number can vary).
Where/When: Found in gardens and landscapes May to October. Ccan sometimes be found clustering in large groups in the fall.
Significance: Important beneficial insect, feeds primarily on aphids.
