Description: 2 inches long (2 - 2 1/4 wingspan). A stout, yellowish body with mostly clear wings. Sometimes mistaken for hummingbirds because of their flight behavior.
Where/When: Visits a variety of perennials during the day. Active from late May through July.
Significance: Is a curiosity because of its acrobatic flying. It does not harm plants.
