Description: 1 inch long. Black head and thorax are covered with short golden hair; the abdomen is reddish-orange and black; the legs are reddish-orange.

Where/When: Commonly found on flowers in gardens, fields, and prairies, especially near sandy areas; found throughout the summer months.

Significance: Does not harm people or property
