Description: 1 inch long (wingspan is 1 1/2 inches). They have a yellow and black body with black veins and a narrow black band on the edge of the wings.
Where/When: Usually seen during the daytime feeding at flowers; Active June-August.
Significance: It is a curiosity because of its ability to fly acrobatically like a hummingbird. Does not harm plants.
