Description: Up to 3/4 inch long. Brownish-gray with 14 legs. Oval shaped body with overlapping plates.

Where/When: Found in dark, cool, moist environments. Can be found around and in buildings.

Significance: Beneficial as a recycler or decaying organic matter. Sometimes a nuisance inside buildings.
