Description: 1/16 - 1/2 inch long. Has a small oval body and 8 long legs, which are several times the size of the body. Does not produce silk.

Where/When: Are found in many different habitats, including forests, fields, and urban areas from spring to fall.

Significance: Beneficial as predators on arthropods; they also feed on dead arthropods and plant juices. Harmless to people (they do not possess any venom).
