Zebra spider

Description: 1/4 inch long. Compact, dark brown to black with white stripes. Two eyes in particular (of the eight) are very large. Moves in a jerky gait.
Where/When: Can be seen hunting on fences, decks, and in and around buildings, especially around windows throughout the summer months.
Significance: Beneficial as predators of insects. Does not harm people.
