Description: 1 1/2 - 2 inches long (nymphs are smaller).

Where/When: Found indoors anytime during the year. Usually enters through sewers and dry drains. Is also associated with steam tunnels in institutions.

Significance: Occasional problem in homes and other buildings. Can be a public health problem by contaminating food and causing allergic reactions and asthma.
