Description: Up to 1/16 inch long. White, moth-like insects; hold wings roof-like over their bodies.
Where/When:Whiteflies are found indoors feeding on the sap of houseplants. They are active anytime during the year.
Significance: Leaves of infested houseplants can yellow and drop, reducing plant vigor, but usually not killing the plant. Whiteflies are harmless to people and other property.
