Description: 1/32 inch long. They are reddish or brownish, have a round body with 8 legs. The first pair of legs are particularly long. (Mites are often challenging to identify; have an expert identify any mites that are not easily recognized).

Where/When: Found generally on the inside and outside of buildings. They are particularly common on the south side of homes, around windows, and other sunny areas. They are most common during spring.
