Description: 3/4 - 1 1/16 inch long. Female beetles are black mottled with small white spots or entirely black while male beetles are all black. All beetles have a conspicuous white spot present at the base of the wing covers (near the head). They have long antennae that are the length of the body or longer.

Where/When: Prefers white pine but is also associated with other pine and spruce. Present June and July.
