Description: 4 inches long. Light green with a double row of reddish orange knobs behind the head, and smaller yellow knobs on the abdomen.

Where/When: Feeds on many trees and shrubs, including apple, alder, ash, birch, boxelder, cherry, dogwood, elm, hawthorn, lilac, linden, maple, oak, plum, poplar, willow, viburnum. Present July through September.
