Description: 3 1/2 inches long. Caterpillars are either green or reddish brown with whitish roundish spots along the body and black flecks around the head. A curled, thin horn is found on the end of the abdomen when the caterpillars are young and replaced by a “button” when it is mature.

Where/When: Feeds primarily grape and Virginia creeper (wood bine). Present July through September.
