Description: 1/8 inch long. Light to dark brown or purplish-gray waxy oyster shell-shaped insects.

Where/When: Found on branches of many different trees and shrubs including aspen, ash, cottonwood, dogwood, lilac, maple and willow. Present throughout the year.
