Description: 1/10 inch long. Bodies are black, oval and wingless. They are covered under a layer of white woolly material. Heavily infested trees look like they have been painted.

Where/When: Found on branches or trunks of white pine as well as Scotch and Austrian pines. Present throughout the year.
