Damping Off
Pythium spp., Rhizoctonia sp., and Fusarium spp.
- Seed may rot in soil
- Seedling leaves and stem appear discolored, water soaked
- Seedling stem may be thin and wire like
- Plants will wilt suddenly or fall over; older plants may be stunted
- Cobweb-like or cotton-like fungal growth on seedlings or potting mix
- Disease favors cool, wet soil with poor drainage
