  • Feed on sap of stems and leaves
  • Typically does not cause any noticeable damage

  • Beneficial insects, feeding on aphids and other soft-bodied insects
  • Larvae are usually black or blue with orange, spines may be present

Ambush bugs

  • Present mid to late summer
  • Generally on flowers where they remain still
  • Stout-bodied insects, about 1/4 inch long
