Crown Gall
Agrobacterium tumefaciens

  • Tumor-like galls found near soil line.
  • Galls are light-colored and spongy when young and become dark and rough with age
  • Plants may be stunted and lack vigor
  • Galls that girdle the main stem may cause wilting and even death of the plant.
