Otiorhynchus sulcatus and ovatus

  • Occurs during the summer
  • Adults feed on needle edges
  • ¼ inch, brown to black (strawberry root weevil) or up to ½ inch, black with gold specks on wing covers (black vine weevil)
  • Larvae are C-shaped, brown headed, approximately ½ inch long, feeds on roots
