White Mold
Sclerotinia sclerotiorum
- Stems, leaves and pods develop a soft watery rot
- White fluffy fungal growth appears on infected plant parts
- If the stem is girdled it turns dry and tan, the plants wilts
- Inside dead stems are hard black sclerotia
- Symptoms appear when plants flower
- Common in densely planted, or low lying fields
