Wild Buckwheat (Black bindweed)

Found in:

  • Landscape beds, prairie plantings, gardens

Characteristics:

  • Annual twining or trailing plant
  • Stems and branches are hairless and grow up to 6’
  • Leaves are arrowhead-shaped with pointed leaf tip
  • Lower leaves are broader than upper leaves
  • Flowers are greenish pink, droop slightly and grow in clusters of 2-6 flowers
  • Deep taproot
